And the LORD shall be king over all the earth:

in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
 Zechariah 14:9

And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:16

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:

on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
 Revelation 20:6

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:

and we shall reign on the earth.
 Revelation 5:10

Each resurrected believer who has returned to earth, now has a new name, and even Jesus himself returned with a name unknown to mankind.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Revelation 2:17

Those resurrected and translated, have now received their new immortal and glorified bodies which make them like the angels.

Who neither marry nor are given in marriage.

For in the resurrection, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:30

We are given no reason whatsoever to believe that those who rule the earth as kings and priests of God, will do so adorned with literal priestly robes and a regal crown.

On the contrary, the Bible informs us that the believer’s new resurrected body will be of an immortal and spiritual nature, just like the glorious, resurrected body of Jesus.

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:21

After his resurrection, Jesus was not restricted by the natural laws of physics.

He still retained visible wounds, and his disciples could physically touch him, yet he was able to travel effortlessly and appear and disappear at will.

He could go through walls and doors yet could also eat and drink and sit and talk.

These resurrected kings and priests may well appear as men amongst men, but nevertheless, men of God gifted with great power and authority, and with wisdom and knowledge, as a spiritual crown.

Effectively, a completely new classification of beings, often, but not always depicted with halos or auras of light around their heads and generally referred to as saints.

Men whose bodies had been changed by God from the corruptible to the incorruptible, from the mortal to the immortal in

”the twinkling of an eye.”

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:

for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
 1 Corinthians 15:52

Although the years of great tribulation, which terminate with the battle of Armageddon, brings worldwide desolation of cataclysmic proportions, according to the Scriptures, there would still be a few survivors.

Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate:

therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
 Isaiah 24:6

Those who survived the great tribulation will continue in their mortal bodies, marrying and bearing children, but everyone on earth will enjoy the blessings of life as promised by God.

That’s not to say those in mortal bodies would be perfect of course, for in their fallen state, mankind would still struggle with sin and eventually die.

However they would live their lives unhindered by direct temptation from Satan, who remains bound for the entire one thousand years.

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:

and after that he must be loosed a little season. Revelation 20:3

Isaiah envisions a humanity marked by its prosperity and longevity.

They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat:

for as the days of a tree
are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. Isaiah 65:22

In fact, those in mortal bodies will die prematurely at the relatively young age of 100 years.

Much like a child dying without having fulfilled his days.

There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days:

for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner
being an hundred years old shall be accursed. Isaiah 65:20

The prophet also indicates that crop farming and house building will be a widespread industry.

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people:

and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks:

nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
 Isaiah 2:4

And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. Isaiah 65:21

At times it can be difficult to know whether or not to take a passage in the Bible literally.

Although more often than not, the scriptures can have both a literal and a metaphorical, or spiritual meaning.

The ”darkness” upon the face of the deep in Genesis 1:2 for example, which means far more than just the absence of light.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Here the word ”darkness” conveys the meaning of utter:

  • despair
  • misery
  • destruction

and death.

Likewise, the term ”the deep” has a far more sinister undertone than just a vast body of water.

Masked Wolf – Astronaut in the Ocean (G-Eazy & DDG Remix) (Official Lyric Video)

For the deep refers to the abussos, aka the bottomless pit.

Zechariah 14:8, informs us that in that day, and regardless of which of the seasons, rivers of living waters will go out from Jerusalem, both to the former and the hinder sea, which is generally understood to mean both eastward and westward.

And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea:

in summer and in winter shall it be.

Metaphorically, the living waters refer to the Holy Ghost, which was first received by believers on the day of Pentecost.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4

RELIGION: HOLY GHOST vs. Holy Spirit – Library of Rickandria

These living waters have since been freely available to anyone on earth who comes to faith in Jesus Christ.

Yet could this verse also have a literal or physical meaning?

Were those who lived on earth during the millennial reign blessed with literal living waters?

Could it be that many of the old legends are based upon a truth beyond our comprehension?

The thirteenth century

St. Francis of Assisi for example, who talked to the birds and befriended the wild animals?

Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone (c. 1181 – 3 October 1226), known as Francis of Assisi, was an Italian mystic, poet and Catholic friar who founded the religious order of the Franciscans. Inspired to lead a Christian life of poverty, he became a beggar and itinerant preacher.

Again, Isaiah 11:6-9 envisions a time when there will be harmony within the animal kingdom.

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together:

and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:

for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

They will all live together peacefully and without fear of man.

It’s even quite likely that the legendary tale of St. George slaying the dragon, which dates back prior to 300 AD, alludes to Jesus casting Satan, the dragon, into the abyss.

Saint George by Donatello, c. 1415 2.05 MB View full-size Download

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, Revelation 20:2

For St. George is usually depicted with an aura of light around his head, riding a white horse and wielding a long sword.

During the millennium, Jesus rules the nations with an iron rod,

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:

and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:

and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
 Revelation 19:15

and the resurrected believers whom he has made kings and priests unto God, shall reign upon the earth for a thousand years.

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:

and we shall reign on the earth.
 Revelation 5:10

For a period of a thousand years there will be a rule of righteousness on earth, but during an age which is not under the Mosaic Law.

For the law was perfectly fulfilled by Jesus during his lifetime.

Jesus also fulfilled the sacrificial system of the Old Covenant by His death on the tree.

RELIGION: CHRISTIANITY: Cross or Tree? – Library of Rickandria

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Hebrews 1:3

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. Hebrews 7:27

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Hebrews 9:12

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world:

but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
 Hebrews 9:24-28

The whole world will prosper and be at peace, but the surviving inhabitants of the nations are required to make an annual pilgrimage to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. Zechariah 14:16

As far as I’m aware, the Bible gives no indication that any other celebration or feast day is observed during the millennium.

The fact however, that people from every nation come to Jerusalem most likely does not mean that every individual on earth must travel to Jerusalem during the millennium.

Most likely, people will be able to worship the Lord from anywhere in the world:

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14

Yet we are told that families and nations who refuse to do so, will suffer severe drought conditions and food shortages, for there will be no rainfall on their land during that year.

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

And it shall be,
that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. Zechariah 14:16-17

Interestingly, in 2018, medieval scholar Michael McCormick nominated 536A.D. as

“the worst year to be alive”

because much of the world went dark for a full 18 months, as a mysterious fog rolled over Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia.

Wrote Byzantine historian Procopius of Caesarea:

“The sun gave its light without brightness, like the moon, during this whole year.”

We are told the extreme weather event was probably caused by a huge volcanic eruption early in the year, causing average summer temperatures to fall 1.5°C to 2.5°C, resulting in drastic crop failures and severe famine for well over a year.

This could well be a smokescreen of course.

For severe famine due to crop failure, could equally be caused by zero rainfall during the year.

Which if the case, is hardly likely to be recorded in the official historical record.

Over the entire duration of the one thousand years, the old Serpent, Satan, will no longer be able to deceive the nations, for he will be imprisoned within the bottomless pit.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, Revelation 20:2

However, even with Satan bound, it’s quite possible there were many skirmishes and conflicts along the way, the true nature of which, remains unclear.

What was the true purpose behind the Crusades for example?

Miles Williams Mathis: Philip III the Bold & the Crusades – Library of Rickandria

All we really know for certain is that the city of Jerusalem played a pivotal role.

Or has even this period of history been fabricated by the controllers, to provide a false narrative to disguise the annual pilgrimage to Jerusalem?

To my knowledge the Bible doesn’t mention exactly where they go to, but nevertheless, at the end of the millennium the saints in their glorified bodies leave this earthly aeon, world or habitable age.

Yet although we are left to presume, they return to heaven, Revelation 20:9 indicates:

”the camp of the saints”

is located somewhere on Earth.

Neither are we told the run of events leading up to the end of the thousand years.

Is it a gradual ending?

Or is it an abrupt one?

Is Satan released from the bottomless pit immediately?

Or are the restraints gradually removed?

Nobody knows.
