The Authorized King James Bible is more accurate than most people understand.
RELIGION: CHRISTIANITY: KJV – THE AUTHORIZED BIBLE – Library of Rickandria
It is man and his religious ideals and practices who bring its teachings into question, and often into disrepute.

Jesus taught:
”not to kill”
to
”love God with all your heart and soul.”
(Matthew 22:37) and how a pure and undefiled religion in the eyes of God, is to care for the orphans and widows who are suffering, and not to become embroiled in the affairs of this world. (James 1:27)
He also condemned the hypocrisy of those who were under the illusion that they could make themselves righteous through keeping the Law of Moses, by performing ritualistic practices, and by adopting the religious traditions of man.
”Worship the Father in spirit and in truth”
Jesus told them. (John 4:23)
In other words, Jesus keeps things relatively simple, whereas man, often influenced by the enemy of souls, has a tendency to complicate things.
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3
Jesus sent his apostles out to teach the nations, not to make them Christians.
The disciples and the early followers of Jesus never used the word ‘Christian’ to describe themselves.
The term was first used in a derogatory sense by the secular population of Rome, who used the word to ridicule followers of Jesus, those who were willing to suffer persecution on His behalf.

Hence why 1 Peter 4:16 states:
“Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.”
Yet over the centuries the term ‘Christian’ has become associated with most all nations and civilizations of the western world.
Genuine Christians are imperfect folk, who have their own personal inner battles, usually on a daily basis.
What unites Christians worldwide, is not the ‘‘church” they attend, nor the ”denomination” they belong to.
The one thing that unites them is their own personal faith in Jesus, which at the same time is a faith shared by all other true Christians across the entire realm, regardless of generation, of race or nationality.
All share the same genuine belief that their only hope of salvation unto eternal life, rests entirely upon the grace of God, through faith in his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shed his blood on the tree for the redemption of sin.
For Jesus is the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29) by the sacrifice of himself. (Hebrews 9:26).
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world:
but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Yet although God so loved the world, Jesus prayed NOT for the world, but rather, for all those chosen in Him before this world/age began (Ephesians 1:4).
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Those which belong to the Father. (John 17:9)
I pray for them:
I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
and given to Jesus, whom he then purchased with his own blood (Acts 20:28) before he returned to the Father.
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
A Christian by name only (nominal) may well be a regular church attendee, or member of a church choir etc. but has been described as:
“a person who has not responded in repentance and faith to Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord.”
Furthermore, many who do not even believe the Bible to be true, presume to teach it.
This is why Billy Graham for example, could call himself a Christian, whilst also being an oath-sworn 33rd degree Luciferian Free Mason.
William Franklin Graham Jr. (/ˈɡreɪəm/; November 7, 1918 – February 21, 2018) was an American evangelist, ordained Southern Baptist minister, and civil rights advocate, whose broadcasts and world tours featuring live sermons became well known in the mid- to late 20th century. Throughout his career, spanning over six decades, Graham rose to prominence as an evangelical Christian figure in the United States and abroad.

And why in 1991, George Bush Sr. casually referred to the mass slaughter of 6,000 Iraqis on the ‘Highway of Death’ as they were retreating from Kuwait, as a “Turkey Shoot.”
George Herbert Walker Bush[a] (June 12, 1924 – November 30, 2018) was the 41st president of the United States, serving from 1989 to 1993. A member of the Republican Party, he also served as the 43rd vice president from 1981 to 1989 under Ronald Reagan and previously in various other federal positions.

How on earth can
“do not kill”
“love God”
and
“love your neighbor”
be so difficult to understand?
Both George Bush Junior and Senior are generally recognized as Christians yet at the same time are oath-sworn Skull & Bones, and Bohemian Grove Satanists.

Unlike the teachings of man (i.e. traditional religious belief systems and inherited theology), Faith itself, cannot be inherited.
Faith is a gift which comes by hearing the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
So, then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Personal faith is not a blind faith as some suppose, but an active and a thoughtful one.
To quote the words of eighteenth-century English theologian, John Hutchinson:
“Unthinking Faith is a curious offering to be made to the Creator of the Human Mind.”
