The 2 Falls of the Angels

The ultimate fate of fallen angels is eternal separation and punishment, as indicated in Matthew 25:41, 2 peter 2:4, and revelation 20:10.

The document aims to clarify confusion between these two falls by providing more context and details about each from various ancient texts.

There is often confusion on the 2 separate falls of the Angels.

The 1st fall occurred on Day 2 of Creation, when Lucifer and his legion were kicked out of heaven.

This is The Fall of Lucifer and The Rebel Angels.

The 2nd fall occurred during the days of Jared, Enoch’s father.

These are the angels that came down from heaven, and mated with the daughters of Cain, producing Nephilim offspring.

This is The Incursion of The Watcher Angels.

We would like to take the next few posts to go into each one of these separate falls, in detail.

This is something we personally mixed up a bit when we first began researching the Serpent Seed Doctrine.

With these posts we hope to clear up any common and understandable confusion over the two separate falls.

We will be putting forth as many ancient texts related to these falls as we can.

Although some of these texts are not included in the Bible, we feel they are worth reading to grasp a bit more context on these topics than what we are normally given.

The Fall of Lucifer and the Rebel Angels I

In the first fall, Satan conceived the impossible thought of being like the Most High.

He goes on to recruit an army of rebellious Angels to wage war against God and the rest of the Angels in Heaven.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isa 14:12

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:

I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
 Isa 14:13

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isa 14:14

Book of the Secret Supper:

And I said:

“Lord, before Satan fell, what was his glory beside your Father’s?”

And he told me:

“Such was his glory that he governed the virtues of heaven.

As for me, I sat next to my Father.

Satan was the master of all those who imitated the Father, and his power descended from the sky to the inferno and rose again from the inferno to the throne of the Invisible Father.

And he observed the glory of Him who transformed the skies.

And he dreamed of placing his seat on the clouds of heaven because he wanted to be like the very high…”

When he descended farther down, he found himself in the presence of clouds weighing on the tidal waves of the sea.

He went on until he got to his ossop, which is the principle of fire.

After that he could not descend farther because of the intense flame of the fire.

Then Satan came in from behind and filled his own heart with malice, and reaching the angel of the air and the one who was above the waters, he said to them:

“Everything belongs to me.

If you listen to me, I will place my seat on the clouds, and I shall be similar to the very high.

I will withdraw the waters of the upper firmament and assemble all the areas occupied by the sea into one entity of vast seas.

That done, there will be no water on the face of the entire earth, and I shall reign with you through the centuries of the centuries.”

Cathar Texts: Interrogatio Johannis (The Book of John the Evangelist)

Satan took advantage of the fall of the Rebel Angels to establish the pagan:

  • cultures
  • civilizations
  • religions

Even though, as the father of lies, he “failed” to truly accomplish what he had promised them, he did set them up to be “as the Most High” on earth and to be worshipped by many.

Satan had set his mind on creating false religions for human civilizations in order to divert their worship and faith away from the True Living God, and instead over to these false gods.

These false gods are the false gods and idols of all the ancient religions.

These false gods and goddesses, which we now know to be the rebellious Fallen Angels, and who are now demons who have ever since been trying to establish themselves in being as the Most High.

Unfortunately, to this day some are still being worshipped as if they were real gods but in reality they are nothing but false idols.

It doesn’t matter if its:

  • Enki
  • Horus
  • Thor
  • Zeus

or any other mythological or ancient god, they are all part of the same rebellious group of Fallen Angels that fell alongside Lucifer on the second day of Creation.

The Fall of Lucifer and the Rebel Angels II

This next example gives us another account of the same fall:

The Book of Enoch Ch. 29:

And for all the heavenly troops I imaged the image and essence of fire, and my eye looked at the very hard, firm rock, and from the gleam of my eye the lightning received its wonderful nature, which is both fire in water and water in fire, and one does not put out the other, nor does the one dry up the other, therefore the lightning is brighter than the sun, softer than water and firmer than hard rock.

And from the rock I cut off a great fire, and from the fire I created the orders of the incorporeal ten troops of angels, and their weapons are fiery and their raiment a burning flame, and I commanded that each one should stand in his order.

And one from out the order of angels, having turned away with the order that was under him, conceived an impossible thought, to place his throne higher than the clouds above the earth, that he might become equal in rank to my power.

And I threw him out from the height with his angels, and he was flying in the air continuously above the bottomless.

With the following text we can see that there actually was a war in Heaven prior to Lucifer’s Fall in which he attempted to overthrow God.

First book of Adam and Eve Ch.60:8-15:

“But now, O Adam, we will make known to thee, what came upon us through him, before his fall from heaven.

He gathered together his hosts, and deceived them, promising them to give them a great kingdom, a divine nature; and other promises he made them.

His hosts believed that his word was true, so they yielded to him, and renounced the glory of God.

He then sent for us according to the orders in which we were-to come under his command, and to hearken to his vain promise.

But we would not, and we took not his advice.

Then after he had fought with God, and had dealt forwardly with Him, he gathered together his hosts, and made war with us.

And if it had not been for God’s strength that was with us, we could not have prevailed against him to hurl him from heaven.

But when he fell from among us, there was great joy in heaven, because of his going down from us.

For had he continued in heaven, nothing, not even one angel would have remained in it.

But God in His mercy, drove him from among us to this dark earth; for he had become darkness itself and a worker of unrighteousness.

Archangel Michael’s Song of Triumph, in Fabricius’ Writings of the Old Testament:

Glory to our God!

Praise to His holy Name!

He is our God; glory be to Him!

He is our Lord!

His be the triumph!

He has stretched forth His right hand; He has manifested His power, He has cast down our adversaries.

They are mad who resist Him; they are accursed who depart from His commandments!

He knoweth all things, and cannot err.

His will is sovereignly just, and all that He wills is good, all that He advises is holy.

Supreme Intelligence cannot be deceived; Perfect Being cannot will what is evil.

Nothing is above that which is supreme, nothing is better than that which is perfect.

None is worthy beside Him but him whom He has made worthy.

He must be loved above all things and adored as the eternal King.

You have abandoned your God, you have revolted against Him, you have desired to be gods; you have fallen from your high estates, you have gone down like a fallen stone.

Acknowledge that God is great, that

His works are perfect, and that His judgments are just.

Glory be to God through ages of ages, praises of joy for all His works!”

Luke 10:18 KJV:

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Legends of the Old Testament Apocrypha:

Satan, whose proper name is Samael, was one of the Seraphim, with six wings.

Samael (1890) by Evelyn De Morgan 820 KB View full-size Download

Samael (/ˈsæməˌɛl/Hebrew: סַמָּאֵל, Sammāʾēl, “Venom of God”; Arabic: سمسمائيل, Samsama’il or سمائل, Samail; alternatively SmalSmilSamil, or Samiel) is an archangel in Talmudic and post-Talmudic tradition; a figure who is the accuser or adversary (Satan in the Book of Job), seducer, and destroying angel (in the Book of Exodus).

In the struggle between Michael and Samael, the falling Seraph caught the wings of Michael and tried to drag him down with him, but God saved him, whence Michael derives his name (the Rescued).

He stands on the left side of men.

He goes by various names; such as:

  • the Old Serpent
  • the Unclean Spirit
  • Satan
  • Leviathan

and sometimes also Azazel.

“And Aaron shall cast lots over the two goats, one lot for the LORD and the other lot for Azazel.” Lincoln Cathedral 2.22 MB View full-size Download

In the Hebrew Bible, the name Azazel (/əˈzeɪzəl, ˈæzəˌzɛl/Hebrew: עֲזָאזֵל ʿĂzāʾzēl) represents a desolate place where a scapegoat bearing the sins of the Jews was sent during Yom Kippur. During the late Second Temple period (after the closure of the Hebrew Bible canon), Azazel came to be viewed as a fallen angel responsible for introducing humans to forbidden knowledge, as described in the Book of Enoch. His role as a fallen angel partly remains in Christian and Islamic traditions.

The Incursion of the Watcher Angels I

These Watchers are the Angels that were appointed to watch over humanity, pray for them, and report back to God.

According to The Book of Enoch, a number of 200 rebel angels descended upon Mt. Hermon and agreed to take to themselves wives from the daughters of Cain.

A mutual agreement was made, that would serve as a pact in order to commit the sin of interfering with the affairs of humanity, and fornication, which would result in the birth of the Nephilim Giant race.

Genesis 6:4 Targum Jonathan:

Schamchazai and Uzziel, who fell from heaven, were on the earth in those days; and also, after the sons of the Great had gone in with the daughters of men, they bare to them:

and these are they who are called men who are of the world, men of names.

The Book of Enoch Ch.6-Ch.7:

And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.

And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another:

‘Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.’

And Semjâzâ, who was their leader, said unto them:

‘I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.’

And they all answered him and said:

‘Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.’

Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.

And they were in all two hundred, who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.

And these are the names of their leaders:

Their leader:

Samyaza (Hebrew: שַׁמְּחֲזַי ŠamməḥăzayImperial Aramaic: שְׁמִיעָזָא ŠəmīʿāzāʾGreek: Σεμιαζά; Arabic: ساميارس, Samyarus), also ShamhazaiAza or Ouza, is a fallen angel of apocryphal Abrahamic traditions and Manichaeism as the leader of the Watchers.

The name “Shemyaza(z)” means “the (or my) name has seen,” “he sees the name,” or “I have seen.” It is also spelled “Samyaza”, “Shemhazai”, “Samiaza(z)”, “Semiaza”, “Shamazya”, “Shemyazaz”, “Shemihazah”, “Shemyaza”, “Sêmîazâz”, “Semjâzâ”, “Samjâzâ”, “Šemihaza”, and “Semyaza”.

The scholars lean towards the Semitic etymology of this appellation which contains the letters shin (ש) and mem (מ), thus suggesting the derivation from either “name” (Heb. שם, shem) or “heavens” (Heb. שמים, shamaym). Moshe Idel proposed that Samyaza is the one who “gazes at heavens” or “gazes from heavens”. This interpretation goes well with the motif of the heavenly Watchers, i.e., the angels supervising humans on earth.

The other leaders:

Arakiel

Arakiel
(Greek: ‘Αραθάκ Κιμβρά), also spelled ArâkîbaAraqielAraqaelAracielArqaelSarquaelArkiel or Arkas, is a fallen angel, the second mentioned of the 20 Watcher leaders of the 200 fallen angels in the Book of Enoch, who taught the “signs of the earth” (which suggests geomancy) to humans during the days of Jared.

His name is generally translated as “earth of God”; the combination of araq-earth (Babylonian in origin) and El-God. Michael Knibb lists him as a combination of two names “the land of the mighty one” or “the land is mighty”. According to the sibylline oracles he is a holy angel that leads souls to judgment along with RamielAzielUriel and Samiel.

Arakiel is also called Aretztikapha (meaning “world of distortion” [the combination of eretz + kaphah]) in Chapter 69 of the Book of Enoch.

Ramiel

(The rest of the names will be added soon)

These are their chiefs of tens.

And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants.

And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells:

Who consumed all the acquisitions of men.

GIANTS – Library of Rickandria

And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.

And they began to sin against:

  • birds
  • beasts
  • reptiles

and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood.

Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.

The Incursion of the Watcher Angels II

The Kebra Nagast gives us further detail into the events leading up to the Fall of the Watchers.

After Adam’s transgression in the Garden, some of the Watchers laughed at his sin, because they believed that they never would’ve failed such a simple and straightforward commandment.

With much confidence in their obedience to the Most High and their superiority over Adam, they challenged Christ to put them to the test.

Their desire came to be to prove they were better than Adam, but they never even managed to abstain from sin for a single moment after they were given flesh, blood and a heart of the children of men.

And the Merciful One and the Lover of mercy answered them on behalf of ADAM, and said unto them,

“You have I created out of fire and air with the one intent [that ye should] praise [Me].

Him have I created of twice as many elements as you—of dust and water, and of wind and fire; and he became [a being] of flesh and blood.

And in him are ten thoughts (or intentions), five good, and five bad.

And if his heart inciteth him to good, he walketh with good intent; and if the Devil seduceth him, he walketh with him on an evil path.

As for you, ye have no other object in your minds but praise of Me, with the exception of that arrogant one who produced evil, and became an evil being, and was driven forth from your assembly.

And now, why do ye magnify yourselves over ADAM?

If ye were as he is, and I had created you of water and dust, ye would have been flesh and blood, and ye would have transgressed My commandment more than he hath done, and denied My word.”

And the angels said unto Him,

“Praise be unto Thee, O Lord!

Far be it from us!

We will not transgress Thy commandment, and we will not oppose Thy word; for we are spiritual beings for life, and he is a creature of dust [doomed] to folly.

And now try us well and put us to the test so that Thou mayest know whether we are able to keep Thy word.”

And when they had vaunted themselves in this manner God, the Lover of men, said unto them,

“If now ye go astray so far as this in transgressing My word, the wrong will be upon your own heads, [for] JAHANNAM (or, hell), and fire, and sulphur, and fervent heat, and whirlwind shall be your habitation until the Great Day:

ye shall be kept in chains which can neither be loosened nor broken forever.

But if ye keep truly My word, and ye do My commandment, ye shall sit upon My right hand and upon My left.

For everyone who hath conquered is mighty, and he who is conquered shall be overpowered.

Now SATAN hath no power whatsoever, for he hath only what he maketh to germinate in the mind; and he cannot grasp firmly, and he cannot perform anything, and he cannot beat, and he cannot drag, and he cannot seize, and he cannot fight; he can only make thoughts to germinate silently in the mind.

And him who is caught by the evil mind he prepareth for destruction; and if [a man] hath conquered the evil mind he findeth grace and hath a reward which is everlasting.

And to you, according to what ye wish, there shall be upon you the mind of a man and the body of a man.

But take good heed to yourselves that ye transgress not My word and break not My commandment; and defile not ye yourselves with eating, or drinking, or fornication, or with any other thing whatsoever; and transgress ye not My word.”

And straightway there were given unto them with His word flesh, and blood, and a heart of the children of men.

And they were content to leave the height of heaven, and they came down to earth, to the folly of the dancing of the children of CAIN with all their work of the artisan, which they had made in the folly of their fornication, and to their singings, which they accompanied with the tambourine, and the flutes, and the pipes, and much shouting, and loud cries of joy and noisy songs.

And their daughters were there, and they enjoyed the orgies without shame, for they scented themselves for the men who pleased them, and they lost the balance in their minds.

The Incursion of the Watcher Angels III

Kebra Nagast Ch.100:

… And the men did not restrain themselves for a moment, but they took to wife from among the women those whom they had chosen and committed sin with them.

And straightway God was wroth with them, and He bound them in the terror of SHEÔL until the day of redemption, as the Apostle saith,

“He treated His angels with severity.

He spared them not, but made them to dwell in a state of judgement, and they were fettered until the Great Day.

The following text includes more information regarding the generations of Cain including the daughters, which the angels took as their wives, their culture and their way of life.

Pirke de Rabbi Eliezer:

Cain arose and were descended all the generations of the wicked, who rebel, and sin, who rebelled against their Rock, and they said:

We do not need the drops of Thy rain, neither to walk in Thy ways, as it is said.

“Yet they said unto God, Depart from us.”

Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy waysJob 21:14

The generations of Cain went about stark naked, men and women, just like the beasts, and they defiled themselves with all kinds of immorality, a man with his mother or his daughter, or the wife of his brother, or the wife of his neighbor, in public and in the streets, with evil inclination which is in the thought of their heart, as it is said,

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Gen. 6:5

The angels who fell from their holy place in heaven saw the daughters of the generations of Cain walking about naked, with their eyes painted like harlots, and they went astray after them, and took wives from amongst them, as it is said,

“And the sons of Elohim”

saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose.

The Bloodline of CAIN – Library of Rickandria

After making a laughingstock out of Adam for his transgressions, the angels immediately transgressed themselves.

Lust cost not only humanity to fall, but also the Watchers, who gave up their eternal angelic lives in a single moment.

The desires of the flesh and the temptations of the mind to indulge in pleasures were extremely difficult to overcome.

In fact, the temptation of lust was so strong it was worth losing their immortality over and even led them to create a pact in the moment of temptation to commit these sins, knowing it would lead to them not being spared by God and to dwell in a state of judgement until the Great Day.
