It provides resemblance.

Resemblance is a clue at most.

The first proposition is game history.

The second is a conspiracy hypothesis.

They require different evidence.


System Shock 2

Official material for the twenty-fifth-anniversary remaster describes the Von Braun as overrun with hybrid mutants and machines while SHODAN again operates as a hostile rogue AI.

The thread’s broad association with AI, hybridization, biological horror and altered humans is therefore reasonable as literary comparison.

Its more precise causal compression of the game’s entire biological threat into “AI created hive-mind zombies” should be treated more cautiously because the franchise’s lore is more complicated than that shorthand.

Again, accuracy about the story would still establish only a fictional motif.


Prey (2017)

Here the thread overstates its case.

Second Thessalonians 2 likewise contains powerful language about deception.

There will be serious spiritual deception.

Truth matters.

Signs alone are not proof of divine origin.
